Today was the first 4 miler. I was going to do intervals today, but a older man that walks out there on the sidewalk often decided to join me when he saw me walking. He does not run, so I decided to just walk for the most part, until about the end of the run. I then did some very short intervals. I am ok with that. It was still a good run. Max heart rate only reached 137 bpm. I also got some sun, which is good.0 Comments 1 Shares 664 Views - Tomorrow, I am scheduled for a 4 mile interval training run. These runs are so much fun. I cannot wait for it. I am going to try to keep my heart rate in the aerobic range, which is about a3-4 exertion bursts of speed on a scale of 1-10, and then walk, then repeating.
- I did a 10 mile slow paced run this morning. The last 3 weeks, I have not been able to complete a 10 mile run, but today, I did it. I just figured out a few things that were going on, and fixed them. I was pretty tired when I got to the finish. Now, next week, I will taper off on the milage, to keep me fresh and rested, cause the following week after that, is a 13.1 mile run, which is a half marathon. This is one of my goals with running, and cannot wait to try to achieve it.I did a 10 mile slow paced run this morning. I started on doing a 1 mile warm up run, and then walked for a little bit and then ran at a faster pace after that. I then did intervals of fast paced running and walking all the way to the end. The VA says that it is due to my Desert Storm service. I told him yesterday, that I started a website to document my journey through anxiety, We talked about the goals that we set up to try to achieve, and one is that I have so much fear of driving where I live here in the Philippines and also in Manila. It was a very good run. I am also rocking some new running gear with the red running hat and red compression shorts. Running is so much fun and such a good stress reliever. It is such a good feeling when you achieve your goals. I am looking forward to the next run, but I may not get to run the rest of this week.
