After being found guilty of murder, John Wayne Gacy was sentenced to death. On May 10, 1994, he was executed by lethal injection at Stateville Correctional Center in Illinois. In his final statement Gacy, who was 52 years old, proclaimed his innocence. His last meal was reportedly fried chicken, butterfly shrimp, french fries, and strawberries.
