• Mountain goats aren't actually goats.
When is a goat not a goat? When it can be spotted on a rail-thin rock crevasse at an altitude of 13,000 feet in the northwestern United States and Canada. That animal, while seemingly possessing the stubbornness attributed to the goats found at petting zoos, is actually the biologically distinct mountain goat, the lone extant species of the genus Oreamnos.

While related to domestic and wild goats within the Bovidae family, mountain goats belong to the Rupicaprini tribe, a subdivision of "goat antelopes" that includes fellow rock-climbing creatures such as the goral and chamois. Anatomically, rupicaprids differ from other bovids by featuring short, dagger-like horns atop thinner, lighter skulls. Mountain goats have also developed specific features that would feel strange to their cousins in the petting zoo, namely the thick, double layer of fur and suction cup-like hooves that allow them to survive in cold, treacherous environments.

Behavior-wise, male mountain goats are more deferential to females than their domestic cousins. They're also far less likely to engage in the sort of head-butting waged between playful kids and competing rivals among true goat herds, due to the potential for injury from those sharp horns. But lest you think these animals suffer from a courage deficiency, just think about how brave you'd be leaping between cliffs more than 2 miles above sea level.

Mountain goats enjoy refreshing themselves with human urine.

Most guides will advise keeping a safe distance from mountain goats, but sometimes the animals get a little more close and personal than we'd like. That's what started happening in Washington's Olympic National Park, where the ever-growing mountain goat population developed a taste for the salt in human urine and sweat. Although it can make for a fun campfire story or blog post, a brush with these normally elusive wild animals can be dangerous. Furthermore, the increasingly emboldened creatures have been found to be disrupting the ecosystem by trampling and gobbling up vegetation. In response, the National Park Service in 2018 began airlifting mountain goats to the nearby North Cascades National Park, a locale with plenty of the naturally occurring mineral deposits needed to supplement their diets, and fewer of the freely urinating hikers just waiting to blog about their close encounters with intruding wildlife.

  • TeekPay Funding for $20 Joining Bonus and $20 Referral Reward

    Huge FREE!

Greetings Executives, Sign up for the new TEEKPAY app now being launched, below here:

    https://teekpay.com/abidi/join

At TeekPay, we’ve designed a rewarding system to give back to our users from day one. The $20 joining bonus and $20 referral reward are part of our mission to share profits and encourage community growth.

    How Do We Fund This?

TeekPay generates revenue from transaction fees and subscription products. Every time a user moves money, converts currency, or pays for goods, a small fee is collected. These fees, along with profits from other services, are pooled to fund the bonuses. Essentially, every profit TeekPay makes is shared with the community, so every referral is paid back through the success of the platform.

Why Is This Exciting for You?

There’s no cost to join or refer people to TeekPay, but the earlier you join and the more people you refer, the more you stand to earn. It’s simple: the larger the community grows, the more revenue is shared, and you can start earning from every transaction your referrals make.

    A Comparison with WhatsApp

Think about WhatsApp, which sold for $22 billion when it had only 450 million users. At the time, each WhatsApp user was worth about $48. But a TeekPay user is worth ten times more because our users are directly involved in banking, moving money, and paying for goods. Every transaction contributes a percentage back to the community, meaning TeekPay users generate revenue over time, unlike WhatsApp where the user value was static.

    Lifetime Revenue from Referrals

When you refer someone to TeekPay, it’s not a one-time bonus. You’ll earn lifetime revenue from every person you bring onto the platform. As TeekPay moves from beta (test phase) to live, withdrawals will open, and you’ll begin receiving profits from all the transactions happening across the platform.

This is like being part of Binance or PayPal at the very beginning, except this time, you’re sharing in the profits. TeekPay operates on the most simple and accessible platforms—WhatsApp, and now even Telegram, with plans to expand to Kakao.

    The Opportunity

The opportunity is here for everyone. The earlier you join and the more people you refer, the more you benefit as TeekPay grows. We are all TeekPay, and together, we’ll profit from every transaction made on the platform.

    How to Withdraw

You will be able to withdraw once the project is fully live and out of Beta stage.

  • 1918 Nebraska serial killer poisons her first victim.

Della Sorenson kills the first of her seven victims in rural Nebraska by poisoning her sister-in-law’s infant daughter, Viola Cooper. Over the next seven years, friends, relatives, and acquaintances of Sorenson died under mysterious circumstances before anyone finally realized that it had to be more than a coincidence.

Two years after little Viola met her demise, Wilhelmina Weldam, Sorenson’s mother-in-law, was poisoned. Sorenson then went after her own family, killing her daughter, Minnie, and husband, Joe, over a two-week period in September.

Waiting only four months before marrying again, Sorenson then settled in Dannebrog, Neb. In August 1922, her former sister-in-law came to visit with another infant, four-month-old Clifford. Just as she had done with Viola, Sorenson poisoned the poor child with a piece of candy. The unfortunate Mrs. Cooper, still oblivious to what was happening, came back again in October to visit with yet another child. This time, Sorenson’s poison didn’t work.

Early in 1923, Sorenson killed her own daughter, Delia, on her first birthday. When Sorenson’s friend brought her infant daughter for a visit only a week later, the tiny infant was also poisoned. After an attempt on Sorenson’s second husband’s life left him sick–but not dead–authorities began to think that there might be a connection between these series of deaths.

Finally, in 1925, Sorenson was arrested when she made an unsuccessful attempt at killing two children in the neighborhood with poisoned cookies. She confessed to the crimes, saying, “I like to attend funerals. I’m happy when someone is dying.” Sentiments like this convinced doctors that Sorenson was schizophrenic, and she was committed to the state mental asylum.
